The California metal-recycling industry has been here for more than 60 years, safely and efficiently recycling all manner of metal. In 2019, the industry formed the California Metal Recyclers Coalition, to better inform and educate the California public about this industry, which is critical for both the economy and the environment. The Coalition comprises four of the major metal-recycling companies in California, all are members of the West Coast Chapter of the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA), the national trade association for the recycling industry, and the Coalition is supported by ReMA West Coast Chapter.
